Merry Christmas from Speak Creative

As things start to wind down for 2010 and move inexorably towards Christmas and New Year's, we find ourselves with the perfect time to reflect on what this year had in store for us and all the things we're thankful for. Of course, there's always the stuff you're thankful for when you're a part of any business: growth, increased revenue and profit, new clients, etc. (trust us, we're thankful for all that!), but when you're a team of 13 people, you can celebrate the personal events as well.... How Google's Instant Preview Affects You

The whole techie blogosphere was abuzz yesterday as Google's Instant Preview technology rolled out for people to begin using. In case you haven't seen it in action, your Google search results now display a magnifying glass next to each result. By clicking on the magnifying glass, you'll be treated to a preview of the page you are about to visit. This is fantastic news for searchers everywhere. You can find out pretty quickly if the page you are about to visit is just someone squatting on a... Read More

New website launched: Westminster Academy

Westminster Academy first approached Speak about designing its website in 2006. Out of those conversations, the original Westminster Academy website was born. We're sure you've noticed, but quite a few things related to web have changed since then. Thus, Speak began work on the new Westminster Academy website earlier this year. The new website continues to highlight and promote a very Classical feel but in a more updated, engaging execution. The website is designed to read easily (the... Read More

10 Years for Mer!

It's not every day you can come into work and say, "I've been working at Speak for 10 years now!" but Meredith walked in today able to say just that. Mer was Jacob's first hire after starting Speak, so we got to spend a little bit of time this afternoon celebrating Mer's 10 th Speakiversary. The highlights: a piñata that may or may not have been ripped open by Adam, desserts made by Christy (cookbook coming soon), a year 2000 iTunes playlist, noisemakers, stories about how Mer almost wrecked... New website launched: RSVP Magazine

Memphis' oldest and most well-known society magazine has a brand new website! RSVP Magazine came to Speak with a long list of requirements for the new creation. At the top of that list were two key requests: help us generate revenue through online ad placement and help us display the photos that are a trademark of RSVP. Of course, make us look awesome was on the list as well! Through the design process, we worked with RSVP to create attractive ad placements that don't distract from the... Read More
